MARC KOEGEL

Marc Koegel is a Vancouver, B.C. based fine art photographer, educator, writer and director of Vancouver Photo Workshops. His black and white long exposure landscapes, nudes and architecture photographs have been widely exhibited in Vancouver as we as internationally in the US and Europe.

Born in Germany, Marc first came to Canada in 1996 to earn an Economics degree. He has been seriously involved with photography ever since he was given his father's camera and darkroom setup at the age of 12.

Marc has worked and studied with many internationally acclaimed photographers, including Joe McNally, Greg Gorman, Jay Maisel, Arthur Meyerson, Mary Ellen Mark, Ralph Gibson, David Hume Kennerly and Jon Cone from Cone Editions Press.

            “Gear including how, when and why to utilize it”
            “Long Exposure Architectural Imaging”

4:30PM–Dusk: Exterior Hands on Photography (location TBD)

FRIDAY
9AM–12:30PM:
Interior Hands on Photography (location TBD)
            “Interior Strobe Lighting”
            “From Monochromatic to Polychromatic Architectural Photography”
12:30PM - 1:30PM: Lunch on your own
1:30PM – 2:30PM: “From Limited to Extended to HDR Architectural Photography”
3:00PM – Dusk: Field Shoot (location TBD)

SATURDAY:

“Image Evaluation and Critique Using Software to re- visualize and post process images for Publication and Display”
1PM – 2:30PM: Lunch on your own
2:30PM – 4PM: “From Cylindrical to Spherical Panorama Architectural Photography” processing demonstration
4PM – 5PM: “The Business of Architectural Photography . . . whatdetermines success?"
Late afternoon/evening: Individual Student Architectural Photography at a location of your choice

SUNDAY
Early AM - 9:30AM:
Individual Student Architectural Photography at location of your choice
10AM – 12:30PM: In Studio Selection and Post Processing of your 3 best images
12:30PM – 2PM:  Lunch on your own
2PM - 5PM: Student Presentation of work + Constructive evaluation of student images
